Vision
ELL students will graduate from GCPS with the knowledge and skills to be successful after high school, either continuing their education at the post-secondary level or entering the workforce. As problem solvers and communicators with an international perspective and 21st century skills, they will contribute to the global competitiveness of our communities, county and state.
Mission
Ensure that English Language Learners in Gwinnett County Public Schools achieve excellence by attaining proficiency in English and meeting or exceeding grade level AKS in all content areas as quickly as possible.

· Guidance on research based best practices for instruction and assessment to ensure that schools design and maintain high-quality ELL Programs to effectively meet the diverse needs of individual students
· Quality professional development for teachers and leaders that builds school and system capacity to serve ELL students
· Technical assistance regarding policies and procedures, including clear and concise information regarding federal Civil Rights and Title III mandates
· Support for parent outreach activities and student support services to promote parental engagement in the academic achievement of their children and to help ELLs who are at risk
· Effective, professional translation and interpretation services that support outreach to and communication with parents of ELLs in a language they understand
